Effigy

In a recess in St. Mary's church lies this 13th century wooden effigy. It may date from around 1280 and represents a religious figure in vestments. It could be the local vicar, a monk from the nearby Cluniac priory which stood between 1100 and 1535, or even a Bishop of Hereford.<\/font>
